I think there is a better chance of you saying Metallica is a good band than there is me saying riffs are gross.

It is almost hilarious how diametrically opposed each of our views on music are. No where is that more clear than this statement.

I think he's saying that if ACDC and Aerosmith have the best riffs, then riffs are icky and I agree.

I can say that both bands have their share of good riffs, but no, they're far from the best riffs.
