What's the general consensus on the Misfits? ive been listening to their old material and i think it's great but their newer stuff kinda sucks.

I've only owned the eps and self titled album from 86 and they have some good material. Not a big fan of their later stuff especially when they switched vocalists. They almost have that doo-wop kinda vibe going on with Danzigs heavy brooding vocals to add some balls.

Yes, it's not the same with that new vocalist and the music sounds too polished.

Way to perfectly explain why i like the Misfits. that horror doo wop formula they had just worked, i don't know why they abandoned it.

I usually forget that there even is a later Misfits that put out albums, even though I've seen them in concert a few times. When you say Misfits to me, I think of the original Danzig-fronted band and they are a band I like a lot.

Never had a problem with his voice personally. It's more the music behind the voice for me.
