Since I'm more into extreme metal, I tend to avoid metal with clean vocals but that album is an exception for me. It's fantastic and surprisingly emotive.

Of course I didn't check first because I had just done 1, 2, & 3 in there.

Anyway...

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard should man up and just start dropping 30+ minute single track albums instead of splitting it up like a bunch of cowards.

I know all old Black Sabbath of course. I'm a big fan of Cathedral. Know a bit of My Silent Wake and Sleep. Also know some funeral doom, like Mournful Congregation and I like a bit of Agalloch. I never went in deep with the genre, but as a rule of thumb - if it's just some slow, early sabbath worship, I'll probably find it boring. Unless the singer is ace.

Participants, in 10 words or less, how should Webster's 2018 Dictionary define:

Metal: (adj)

(music genre)

10 words or less and no band names allowed.

Said the guy who writes bands off because of their name. Batlord owned your ass, move up into your hole and die.

I'm not sure about that, but I feel like two elements that separate metal from other amplified genres of electric guitar music is 1) metal's preoccupation
with dramatic delivery, 2) metal's heavy use of palm muted riffs.

Now you're just taking the easy way out by mocking Blank. Of course he's stupid.
