-Reverend Horton Heat needs to be talked about more in the music world

-i like Phish's studio work more than their long, drawn out jams

Here's all the indie I've listened to thus far: Animal Collective, Radiohead, R.E.M., Iron and Wine, Modest Mouse, Blur, The Mars Volta, Elliott Smith, Slint, The Flaming Lips, Mew, Arcade Fire, The Magnetic Fields, Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, Sufjan Stevens, The Vines, The White Stripes, The New Pornographers, Wilco, Wolfmother, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Deerhoof, Dinosaur Jr., Coldplay, Interpol, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Built to Spill, Spoon, Pavement, The Smiths, Sigur Ros, Manic Street Preachers, Ben Fold Five, Fugazi, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Phoenix, Sonic Youth, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Joy Division, and Jimmy Eat World.

Most of these bands are but overrated imo.
Also alot of classic rock is overrated too.

8 is as good as if not better than 7 imo... never completed 6 =P

i almost agree with you about Tom Lehrer, but he is more in the realm of musical satire, that Gilbert & Sullivan tradition, different ballpark to all the great jazz and blues and doo wop and rock'n'roll etc that was happening

Meh, I prefer the Pixies to Fudge Tunnel........... but both are better than Nirvana ever were.

Never completed 6! 6 was the best, soundtrack-wise and games-wise.

I'm kind of surprised you think the pixies are overrated but you've definately listened to enough to form a valid opinion.

Kind of funny though b/c I think most R&B is overrated, though i admittingly haven't given it much of a chance in the last few years. Anything good you can suggest that might change my mind?
