Yep, there was a space in-between the bracket and the parenthesis but I guess that doesn't matter.

Hell ya! They should have called it a day after that and made it an EP.

It’s similar to how you have to spray the greasy pans down for five seconds extra.

I have no idea what he's on about either.

Alright I don't know how unpopular this opinion is but I'm listening to King Crimson's Islands and casually looking at a ranking of their albums on some site cause I've never actually known what the general opinion was of their discography. And Islands is a relative low point? Man, it's one of their coolest! It's like they seemlessly welded a mystical prog hey nonny nonny vibe with a smoky jazz club vibe and it's the height of cool.

Is this one of your famous sexual euphemisms?

Depends on the version of the band.

Fripp is the only constant.
My fave is the Fripp/Bruford/Levin/Belew line-up and their Red, Yellow, and Blue albums.

Discipline being the best.

thats a pretty maximalistic approach.. nobody did anything about arena ticket prices but pearl jam who did something, didnt do enough (cuz they didnt cut their share.) doesnt make sense.
about yr 2nd point: it WAS a legit legal battle [and i understand you agree that it was(?)] so whats the rest about the publicity stunt?

if you want publicity/revolution cred you play a free tibet concert, you dont start beef with the practical monopoly of arranging arena concerts.

i have a great respect for fugazi's ethos but i think its irrelevant here. Pearl Jam must've sold >15.000.000 records when they began the ticketmaster thing. it is a diferrent league.

They did everything about their high ticket prices except for cutting the price of their tickets.

Both can be tactics for publicity. Pointing at big bad ticketmaster for the cost of their tickets when PJ is still in control of 95% of the ticket costs outside of ticketmaster fees definitely has the air of a decision made for publicity. If you don't see it, you don't see it I guess.
