My utmost respect for the Shrek franchise is one of the reasons why I don't give people **** for being nostalgic anymore.

Ja Bowie maintained a nice level of blandness throughout the years by evolving and peaked right at the end.

There are Miles Davis and Ornette Coleman albums that are panned in the context of their work but neither of them ever released a bad album imo. King Crimson kind of straddles the fence of popularity but they were incredibly consistent as well.

YES I feel exactly the same about him. His music has a stronger emotional effect on me than maybe any other music. Especially Hunky Dory, and Drive-In Saturday is one of my favourites

Probably. He was intimately connected to punk anyway, judging from his involvement with Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. And Glam -> the New York Dolls -> punk
