You can't manufacture Johnny Rotten's personality disorder. I don't really give a **** how authentic he was shouting about anarchy, just that he was properly obnoxious while doing so.

My point is, when you trivialize the word, you exploit the working class. Boomers are a weapon of trickle-down economics.

And? I don't look to musicians for my role models. I look to them for entertainment and Johnny Rotten is as entertaining as anyone who's ever stepped in front of a mike.

Punk is probably the most influential genre to come from rock music. From modern metal to alternative to emo to goth to hip hop to even some pop.

Even Weeknd has a little punk in him.

It's like a fundamentally underdeveloped understanding of the genre or music as whole to insinuate that it's just a tiny sub-genre or is about being angry.
