90s Megadeth beats the **** out of 90s Metallica cause when Metallica made the shift to pop they tried to keep their dark vibe from the 80s to stay badass like dumb dudes who don't like gay people whereas Megadeth played around way more with the tone of how they approached their pop metal/hard rock. Metallica stayed stone faced but Megadeth could actually have fun and it translated not only to the tone of their songs but to how they actually wrote them which made them a more effective pop metal band.

Metallica would never make songs as silly and fun as this.

So it looks like I've started to really dig Dire Straits' debut album.
I mean, I'm not deaf, I notice how it's safe and bland and boring, yeah, but it's chill and groovy and enjoyable and the guitar is indeed pretty damn sweet.

Mark is one of the best. His tone is sublime and his phrasing is brilliant. Glad you're not deaf my friend.

We will forgive you for enjoying music. It'll be difficult, but we'll find a way.

Idk Dire Straights well enough to have an opinion on them.

Remember the late 90s/early 00s when all those people listened to punk?

All thanks to Green Day. All the white suburban kids loved Simple Plan and Good Charlotte and the Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack.

If Led Zeppelin dropped everything about their sound that sucks they'd basically be Big Star.
