Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

You have to understand the pretzel logic of the 18-24-year-old male brain that is sad, and feels vulnerable, but you can't say that because that makes you a pussy, and pussys aren't men, and so therefore they should get the **** beaten out of them.

That said, I bought at least one Staind CD in high school, and while I never bought a ticket to see them specifically, I did see them as part of a bill somewhere along the line.

Eh, it's listenable I guess. I'd only call it great in the context of the rest of the garbage that they released. Anyone who's into Deftones should be into that album though.

Are you saying feeling sad and vulnerable is an excuse for having bad taste?

(Tristan’s opinion put on hold because I’ve never heard the record he -and that is the correct pronoun so don’t start loading your pistols- mentioned)

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I'm saying when you can't process your emotions in a healthy way, you keep having to add modifiers to deal with those emotions, and then end result of that contortion is arriving at some pretty weird destinations.

Most nu-metal sucks today because we both had to stop rage-screaming as the means of dealing with problems, as well as the technological advance that allowed smaller niches to gain a foothold, and therefore allow the market to decide, not a "give 'em what they want" C-Suite at the record companies.

To be reductive, Nu-Metal sucks because 9/11 and iPhones.
