I went to a Tamikrest concert twice though

And a couple of their songs were important to me in my most "formative" years, so far.
Tinariwen came later. So I like one over the other.

But I find them both very good and inspiring.

This is blasphemy. I'm on vacation right now, but I can't countenance this Lil Wayne calumny and continue my relaxation on the beach. Wayne is a great rapper - and in his early Hot Boys days, he was even better. He's never been technically excellent, but he's always had serious mic presence, charisma and humor. Technically, he ain't bad either.

If jwb sees this, he'll back me up.

Is Lil Wayne the guy Dave Chappelle parodies with the "yeaaaah, okaaaaaaaaay"?

I see your head banging, and raise you a Weird Al:

I'd rather clean all the bathrooms
In Grand Central Station with my tongue
Than spend one more minute with you (me talking to this Wayne fella)

I wasn't aware he did that.

My apologies to Wayne. I was wrong. It was Lil Jon.

So many Lils. And so few of them are. Little, that is.

I don't know any Wayne's stuff. I don't listen to any hip hop, really. It's just not something I grew up enjoying. My friend listened to a lot of rap and hip hop. I think the only one I could stand was Public Enemy. I started liking Body Count, only because Ice T was actually singing.

I prefer Lil Wayne's bigger brother, Jeff.
