If anything it’ll ruin music even more. Instead of having humans create generic music, which is already intolerable, now it’ll be robots creating generic music.

Beethoven's 9 is absolutely amazing until the singing begins and everything goes to the dogs with the gayest ever display of Germanness. I don't even care which ideology you slap on it, Third Reich or cloying Eurooptimism, it just sucks.

That's why I'm posting it in this thread! Musically it's a work of the highest genius but the pathos does not agree with me... I tried liking it but it was not to be.

(Btw I worded it poorly re ideology: there's probably no way to slap the biological racism of the Third Reich onto a hymn to universal brotherhood, however quintessentially or stereotypically German said hymn may be. I guess the worst you could do is a kind of annoying Euro chauvinism. But what I'm trying to say is that whatever "broader meaning" one ascribes to it, I'm still not sold)

The slow movement of the symphony is among the most beautiful things in all of Beethoven.
