I think E.L.O epitomise everything that was De Rigeur in the 70's: bombastic production, overblown concepts and terrible hairdos.

However Jeff Lynne is respected in his field as a decent producer and he could write a solid pop tune when he wanted to but I can also appreciate the dislike for him as he never ever stretched himself musically and wrote some crap too.

Duck seemed like the easiest way to cop out.
