Though I've only seen a couple of Muse's videos, when your music videos are immensely more entertaining than your music (and, honestly, their videos aren't really all that great) you're a bunch of boring jerks.

You think Synchronicity is the best Police album, your argument is invalid.

What's your favorite song off of it? I'm partial to "Charging Bull"

"Charging Bull" is an excellent song, one of the best, but my favorite is "Room Temperature Suite".

Apparently the drummer is a jerk. that's why Ian Williams quit the band and joined Battles, and the first Don Cab broke up.
But Damon Che is still a drumgod, idiot or not.

Word of advice to any aspiring musician wanting critical acclaim, do NOT learn how to play your instrument.
Not at all, plenty of technically gifted bands are considered "hip".

The problem with Muse is just that they're really really shit. I liked one of their songs, the song 'Showbiz' from the first album. The rest is almost all pretty damn bad, especially the newer stuff which is utterly dreadful.

They are better than The Foo Fighters though, at least.

I saw Don Caballero live, and Damon Che is a very strange guy. His anecdotes in between the songs had to be heard to be believed. Some of it was really funny in a weird way, some of it incomprehensible, almost all of it causing some rather awkward moments as the audience didn't know how to react. Definitely he's got the weirdest between-song banter I've ever heard.

However, what an AMAZING drummer. One of the best I've seen live, it's probably a tie between him and Deerhoof's drummer or Lightning Bolt's drummer.

You saw Don Cab live *jealous glare*

was it the original Don Cab? with Ian? I would love to see him live. And I'd imagine that Damon is a weird guy, I've seen videos on youtube of his in-between-song-banter on youtube. if only I could find that video... I think it was deleted

Unfortunately it wasn't when Ian was in the band, I was far too young to know about them when he was in it... but they were still pretty great live, Damon is a monster on the drums, he just totally commanded the whole stage.

I can imagine, though, that he'd be a hard person to deal with day-in-day-out on a tour... he seems a very eccentric person!

Last album I've heard very negative things about but OOS is great and Absolution is quite good too.

I think I like Colour and the Shape more than any Muse album.
