Here is an unpopular one: St. Anger is underrated, it is a more enjoyable album since Death Magnetic was released, you lose the expectations you had for St. anger after that album came out.

VU were all mediocre musicians at best (well, Sterling Morrison, was pretty amazing), but their primary contribution to the world wasn't skillfully played music; It was music played with attitude that simply dripped with sex, drugs, & rock & roll. I know that sounds so cliche, but it's so true.

apparently sex, drugs, & rocknroll doesn't do that much for me. i enjoy entertaining music. there is something lacking with them.

dunno how unpopular this is but:

The MC5 are very overrated. I think they're decent, but give me The Stooges over this band every time.
