Hm, I've always considered it Pop Punk, but I'm not very good with genres so you're probably right.

^personally I think Nickelback is a terrible representation of canada. It's often held against us, when the canadian music scene is discussed.

We should be known for GY!BE and Venetian Snares. Unfortunately Post-Rock and Breakcore get quite a bit of hate so that's not gonna happen.

Don't worry, I don't hold Nickelback against Canada. First band I think of is actually Rush. Nickelback just reminds me of American hicks.

Likewise. They sound so much like a stereotypical American radio rock band. I guess their popularity contributes to that, but still. They are so average in that sense, you couldn't say they sound like they're from anywhere else.

The song "Animals" by Nickelback is a fun song. Dare I say it? ... It's pretty good.
