And don`t you think they deserved that lofty position?

I don't mind them selling records, I quite like their album.

well i know that Madonna had some 80's song and i'm pretty sure Air Supply (one of my favourites) were on the 80's as well. But Whitney Houston started out in the 80's and my favourite song from her (Saving All My Love For You) came out like in 1987 or something.

1985, I remember it. Air Supply was more 70s really being around 1980. Madonna's best songs are Lucky Star, Borderline (original version not the slower 85 one that is better known) and La Ilsa Bonita. But I think British music is probably the best in the 80s (and was quite popular in the Philippines supposedly), then maybe Italian, and Japanese and America is quite good but not the best for me.

Madonna's debut is her best, really - i fiind all subsequent not matching up to the quality

and like Thee Virgin, I adore Whitney Houston

The top 40 billboard charting songs were as superficial and narrowminded as any top 40 today, yet it was branded as being "free spirted". It was in a purgatory. The 90's is a close second.

no way the 90s was great
