Because they have no originality whatsoever. It is Pop music with guitars and added MPH. I like Pop music when it is done well so I will listen to it. When I listen to Metal I want to hear Metal.

A lot of this sort of Power Metal reminds me of the quote from Boyz n The Hood:
" any fool with a dick can make a baby but it takes a man to bring up a child"

No way, man. Nickleback was in their prime them. I think Boo Boo is a clown, but he was right on that one.

Well no, my brief trip to Wikipedia has informed me that "Rockstar" was in 2007, and they'd already been playing on the radio 5 years by 2006, so they were a little past their prime. Probably still on a par with say, The Beatles at that point though.

One unpopular opinion is that Kurt Cobain has a large fan base.

What do you mean by "large?"
Do you mean his fan base have mostly tall people in it or "large" meaning extremely heavy set people in it?

Haha, I see your point Neap, but I know desperately hope he means "Kurt Cobain has a bunch of fatties who love him."
