If he doesn't hate them, then he just strongly dislikes them. As for me, I don't really have a strong opinion as I've never heard a Dragonforce album in its entirety.

That's hardly an unpopular opinion, both of them are held in almost equally high regard. I think I've seen Zen Arcade regarded as Husker Du's masterpiece more times than New Day Rising.

Oh yes. They besmirch the good name of power metal. They play a cheap imitation of real power metal without any songwriting talent. They are a canker sore on the otherwise rosebud lips of bands like Blind Guardian, Helloween, and Angra. If you like Dragonforce then unless you suck as a person you should like these far more...

Yeah, I may be going by somewhat few sources in assessing which one is typically regarded as the greatest of the two, but I do see a general tendency towards partially holding the more abrasive tracks on Zen Arcade against it, and instead favor the more consistent melodicism of NDR.

That, and I know for a fact that some people on this site rate NDR a good deal higher than Zen Arcade, hence I consider the opinion unpopular in Music Banter terms as well.

Also, wouldn't the mere fact that they're typically held in almost equally high regard make the suggestion that one is better than the other unpopular in and of itself?

And I think it's inferior to both of the former. Don't know whether or not that's unpopular generally speaking but I suppose you intended your post to be in accordance with the thread theme.

F*ckin awesome! i luved every bit of this song except that part around 4:45 till 4:52 that was kinda cheesy

But other than that it was great.

I can't say they sound better than Dragonforce cause im more familiar with them and plus idk **** about power metal i just know what i like, Angra YES they sounded better than Dragonforce right away but with the other 2 bands i can't really say if they sound better or not cause im not really familiar with this genre.
