I have no idea how people could ever do that. It's like buying a record based on what the cover looks like. It doesn't make any sense.

When I'm hearing an artist for the first time, I don't care what they look like (and most of the time I don't even know at all). If I care to get to know who they are as a person, their looks are often just a bonus of unconditional appreciation.
