Honestly I don't have a lot of spicy takes except for the one which is that Neutral Milk Hotel are terrible, I hate In the Aeroplane Over the Sea with a deep burning passion and it's the one highly acclaimed album I will never get the appeal of, I tried so hard to like that f*cking thing and that has only made me hate it more.

Really? That's my favorite album of 1998. I love that album.

But, then again, I am kind of a folkie.

I don't care about Low's "experimental" credibility I just think it jams

Personally, I don't give a crap about what's considered highly-acclaimed, by reviewers and fans alike. If I don't like it, I'm going to say it.

Anyway, you can't like everything that's 'highly-acclaimed'. Anyone who does is blindly following the herd, instead of being discerning like a true individual.

I love Aeroplane too, but prefer Avery Island. I think Avery has stronger songs overall (Naomi and Song Against Sex alone put it over the top for me) - and they sound a bit like the Velvet Underground on it. Plus, I like the fuzzy textures.

Yeah, whatever. Now, f**k off...

Radiohead confessions:

The Bends is better than OK Computer, especially the b-sides.

When OK Computer achieved so much critical and commercial success, I tried to distance myself from the band as much as possible. After purchasing the band's debut EP the month it was released, I felt it was woefully clichéd to mention Radiohead as a favourite band to others (and still do).

Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac are patchy affairs that could have collectively made a single great album.
