Am I the only one who's in the middle ground with regards to Muse? I think they've written some great songs, but their music mostly comes off as samey to me and their discography is inconsistent to say the least. They do put on a fantastic live show though.

To reinforce Urban's point, I'd rather listen to Queen and Radiohead.

And Interpol is a terrible band. My mom listens to them. I used to like them when I was, like, eight but now they're boring.

I think it's pretty funny how you so often rationalize opinions that conflict with your own as simply those of an "indie kid". I know quite a lot of people who are really into classical music who also hold the opinion that Muse are awful. I suppose they are "indie kids" too eh?

With all the wonderful music out there, why would I want to waste my time listening to Muse? They're just a really boring band, just like the rest of those bands Urban mentioned.

Im not even a Muse fan really I like them but I don't listen to them much.

I just think Muse bashing has become a cliche and that the word "awful" has become overly used to describe not genuinely awful bands just popular artists they don't like.

Awful is pretty much a word I use exclusively for something I consider to be so bad and musically inept that I can't understand how it appeals to anyone.

I don't bash them, I just find them boring. Not my cup of tea.
