Well, I understand that you don't like it and respect your opinion and all that other polite shit that will keep me from getting banned but its my favorite genre ever. I think noise enhances the music, adds to it, and makes it harder and angrier.

Noise rock is immense when done well. Melt Banana still kick many heavier bands into touch easily.

The disregard for genre rules is a major pull for me. Who wants to follow a set pattern?

Sometimes I just want to listen to something loud, abrasive, chaotic & mental.

'Proper music' doesn't really cut it during those times.

It's interesting that jtwilliams mentioned contradiction about noise-rock as the reason he can't stand it. That contradiction is a major appeal of it, for me. The sound is ugly and beautiful, harsh but magnetic, it provokes ambivalent feelings and that's what's so great about it.
