Put it this way, before Oasis there wasn't any big british bands doing big gigs, and they have influenced alot of new bands.

Britpop is just a term for the types of bands around at the time lead by oasis

I ****ing hate Gallagher, but his voice absolutely fantastic. It's a shame he and his bandmates can't write something halfway decent anymore.

I don't think his voice is anything special. It's good, but I don't think it's fantastic.

Anyway, I voted Damon. I still feel guilty for voting Oasis in the Oasis vs. Blur thread so hopefully this evens things out.
