Nor is taking psychedelics when not performing. When taken in moderation, they really do allow for unrestricted, flowing thought processes and new ways of thinking / comprehending. It could aid in the creative process, but should by no means be necessary to the creative process.

I agree with you completely, although the rules may vary with different types of substance consumption between a vocalist, or for example a lead guitarist/bassist that doesn't sing at all. It can be very beneficial and create inspiration especially when writing original material. (Everything within moderation of course) Use "it" to your benefit. Don't let it use you. |
