Avant-garde/Experimental?

I suggest that an avant-garde/experimental forum should be made.

I think it would get absolutely no attention...those are just sub genres to other genres...they can fit comfortably into other forums.

PopIsDead 04-16-2007 06:48 PM

I agree that it would probably get minimal if not no attention, but I don't really agree that they'd fit comfortably into other forums. The only forum it would sorta fit into is alternative & indie because those are such general names. I suppose a lot of avant-garde or experimental artists can be put into more general genres based on the opinions of who is putting them into that genre. Let's take Mr. Bungle for example. They can easily be put into any of the forums that are here except for maybe pop. I lost myself...

I think it needs it's own sub genre forum. Or replace country with it. Who really listens to country?

PopIsDead 04-16-2007 08:18 PM

Well, there are a whole six threads in the country forum...

I'm sure more people listen to avant-garde and experimental than country.

sleepy jack 04-16-2007 08:22 PM

Theres nine pages worth of threads in the country forum...

PopIsDead 04-16-2007 08:28 PM

Really? I can only find six threads.

Sparky 04-16-2007 08:39 PM

on the bottom of the thread index, click "from beggining" and do show.

youll get 8 pages

PopIsDead 04-16-2007 09:04 PM

Holy ****! I never noticed that before now! Thank you for the enlightenment! Well, I guess people do listen to country after all. Oh well, I think we should have an avant-garde/experimental forum anyway.
