If a song has a hidden meaning, that means the author hasn't disclosed it, which means it's simply fan-based speculation, which means essentially any song can have any hidden meaning, amirite?

It all depends on how liberally you approach the meaning of the word 'hidden' in this circumstance. I would still say that things like hidden tracks constitute being a hidden 'meaning', especially when CD's were still the meanings through which you listened to music. Digitized files on computers kind of killed off that hidden track thing though, as you could easily see that there was so much running time left.
