Default Open ended question- Popular music market compared to 50s and 60s

How does the popular music market today compare with the youthful market of the 1950’s and 1960’s? and
Do young people have the same impact- or more, or less?

or how current music is affecting people?

im tired of these past vs present debates, music is still as good as it ever was
