Purely for nostalgia: IRON MAIDEN-LIVE AFTER DEATH.

I love music and films, but I have never been huge on music DVD'S for some reason, and rarely watch music t.v

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-30-2007 06:55 PM

Lamentations, but that is really the only good one I have seen. TBH I haven't seen many music DVDs.

Frances 07-01-2007 07:24 PM

Tori Amos - Welcome to Sunny Florida

Hands down the best music dvd I've ever, ever seen. Everytime I put it on I end up staring at the tv for 2 hours.

joyboyo53 07-02-2007 07:12 AM

i really like dave at central park, however my favorite music dvd is probably rage against the machine. something awesome about watching people willingly getting arrested by playing music that starts a riot outside the democratic national convention and singing "**** you i wont do what you told me" as the cops come arrest them.

Divide and Fall Apart 07-02-2007 07:21 AM

By far my favorite music doc. I love all of the Clouds Taste Metallic session footage. Is Christmas on Mars ever coming out?

A close second for me is the Brian Wilson Smile doc/performance. He's just crazy.

That's a good one.

Nine Inch Nails - And All That Could Have Been is my favorite, but the best is obviously Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads. I mean come on....

adidasss 12-11-2007 01:12 PM

Less meaningless chit-chat, more helping me with my request people. I didn't bump this thread for nothin'...

Totally agree.

Just can't get into Stop Making Sense , far too slickly produced. The stuff from the first 3 albums sounds horrible.

You should. It proves why Talking Heads anally rape every band that ever existed.

The Who: Live at the Isle of Wight.

mr. goth glam 12-13-2007 07:59 AM

Bob Dylan: No Direction Home

Though the new Tom Petty doc is an awfully close second.

Merkaba 12-13-2007 12:26 PM

Tom Petty is fucking great. Some of the more creative music videos too.

I like my Black Flag dvd best. They're live in Bradford '84. Not particularly good sound quality, and not the greatest picture. But the Flag absolutely destroy at this gig.

Shayde 12-13-2007 12:29 PM

It's Not Fun, Don't Do It - Tegan and Sara

The Con - Tegan and Sara

Christina Aguilera "Live in __"

I can't remember the rest.

adidasss 12-13-2007 12:32 PM

Omg, the lesbians are taking ovarr....*runs screaming into the hills*

OT: I've just watched Muse in Glastonbury 2004, very awesome gig...:yeah: I'm also downloading/can't wait to watch Meeting people is easy about Radiohead...:yeah:

An absolutely breathtaking experience. A spectacular combination of Icelandic imagery and their majestic music. I was on the brink of tears more than once. By far the best music DVD I've ever seen.

I have to see them perform live, it might just be the highlight of my life...

jackhammer 01-25-2008 03:18 PM

^^^
On my to buy list. It looks the like the sort of thing I will love. I'm just waiting for the price to drop on this. Adidasss have you ever seen the Qatsi trilogy?
Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and presenting Naqoyqatsi, by director Godfrey Reggio

Stunning films. I so want to see these on the big screen.
