Wrong, they count just as much when weighted with .5 star rating.
Edit: Plus more rating=higher chart rankings

Every user's ratings are weighted so if you go to rym and rate a bunch of albums .5 and 5 stars and not much else your ratings won't really even register.

True, but most of them have a bunch of random ratings and the sheer number drive them up as well.

RYM has just added track previews for a lot of albums. It's streamed directly from Amazon's MP3 library so if it's on there then it should be on RYM.

It's a bit buggy at the mo but it has only been released. It's a nice little addition which is long overdue. Hopefully the content will grow.

Yeah the track listing looks completely screwed if only some have previews, but it's early days yet.

Well, we have a Last FM thread, a Facebook thread so we may as well have a RYM thread. Does anyone have a rate your music profile? I like noseying through people's collections and seeing what albums they like and what albums they don't, and if anyone doesn't have it then should get it. Great website.
