^ This. Kid A seems like an album Dayvan would love.

Have you tried Amnesiac?

Avant-garde exprimental Jazz soundscapes bore you?

You could hate most bands based on die hard fan bases. They're all annoying cunts. I don't want to listen to Rush fans telling me how amazing Rush are, I don't want to listen to Beatles fans telling me how amazing The Beatles are. So I don't think fan bases are a valid reason for criticism.
I just can't listen to their music without cringing. My mom listens to them nonstop and I just don't get the appeal. I mean, people are raving about Kid A or OK Computer, but I listen to those albums and I just don't get it.

and if I wanted to listen to experimental jazz, I'd just go listen to Zs or Zu or something that isn't a whiny rock band.

Yeah, because they're cringeworthy.

Sort yourself out.

I don't mean to be rude, but come on. I don't think their artistic credibility is so bad you have to cringe. If you were cringing at their die hard fans who claim the band are more than music, then yes - cringe away.
But Zu are nowhere near as good, and Zu aren't a bad band by any stretch of the imagination. I'm beginning to wonder if you really like any band/artist that's massive.

Just in case if you haven't noticed, Boards Of Canada have an absolutely huge fanbase. I don't dislike things because they're too mainstream, I like Deadmau5, ffs.

You don't like Radiohead but you like Deadmau5, says it all really.

Also, when I say massive. I don't mean Pitchfork-fan massive.

I mean The Beatles, The Kinks, Zeppelin, Stones massive.

shut up, he's one of the few canadian artists that don't make me want to die in a terrible bakery accident.

And only five canadian artists are good, anyways.

EDIT:
The reason why I don't like bands that big is not for indie credlol, but because I just don't like them. I shouldn't be expected to like a band I don't like in order to gain social acceptance and be rid of the "McHipster" title. I like bands because I like them, and I dislike bands because I dislike them.
