don't take it all so seriously...everyones got different opinions about things anyway...
I didnt actually say that music is only beautiful when your on drugs. i would never think or say that. music is always gonna be better than drugs to me.
when your stoned you become more aware of whats around you. this can make you paranoid or it can increase your appreciation of things. so when im stoned i appreciate music more. thats all i meant.
i dont care if you think drugs are bad or whatever but that doesnt mean I have to take ur opinion. the whole point of a forum is to put your opinion forward so don't have a go at me for doing so.
and in my opinion, something that nature has produced that lets you apreciate the world even more is not a bad thing so long as you don't abuse it.
i dont wana argue with anybody coz i get enough "drugs are bad" everywher i go, il just stick to my views and you to yours. sorry if that annoys you

No. Drugs may not have opened up your mind (assuming you've even tried them), but they can for many others.

There's nothing artistic about being on drugs, but some drugs can enhance creativity and assist an individual in thinking outside the box a little more than usual.

The experience can be emotional for some. Many have had very religious/spiritual experiences on hallucinogenic drugs such as LSD and Mescaline.

The only 'fucked up clarity' appears to be your own on the subject of drugs.

As for the best 'druggy' songs...any Electric Wizard, Om, early Black Sabbath is great.

Personal favourite song about drugs, 'Golden Brown' - The Stranglers.
It has a 13/8 and 3/4 time signature.
Great lyrics too.

Bales of Cocaine - Reverend Horton Heat

"Well, I was workin' on my farm 'bout 1982,
Pullin' up some corn and a little carrot, too
When two low-flying aeroplanes, 'bout a hundred feet high
Dropped a bunch o' bales o' somethin', some hit me in the eye...

So I cut a bale open, an' man was I surprised
Bunch o' large sized baggies, with big white rocks inside
So I took a little sample to my crazy brother Joe
He sniffed it up and kicked his heels, said, "Horton, that's some blow!"

Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' plane
I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same
Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foriegn rain
My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes

So I loaded up them bales in my pick-em-up truck,
Headed west for Dallas, where I would try my luck
I didn't have a notion if I could sell 'em there,
But, thirty minutes later, I was a millionaire...

And now I am a rich man, but I'm still a farmer, too
But I sold my farm in Texas, bought a farm down in Peru
And when get so homesick, I think I'm goin' insane,
I travel back to Texas in a low-flyin' plane...
"

My brightest star’s my inner light let it guide me
Experience and innocence bleed inside me
Hallucinogens can open me or untie me
I drift in inner space, free of time
I find a higher state of grace, in my mind
I’m beautiful

I wasn’t born to follow
I live just for today, don’t care about tomorrow
What I’ve got in my head you can’t buy, steal or borrow
I believe in live and let live
I believe you get what you give

I’ve glimpsed, I have tasted, fantastical places
My soul’s an oasis, higher than the sun

I’m higher than the sun

I don't know if this is asking for a song specifically about drugs, but My Bloody Valentine has made the most druggy sounding music ever.
