Maynard James Keenan (TOOl's lead singer) loved the hell out of his mother and she died during the making of this album, so naturally he dedicated it to her.
The name of the album, 10,000 Days is how many days she lived after having an aneurysm when Maynard was 11 years old (which he sings about in the song Jimmy on Aenima) this two part song is a beautiful devotion to his loving mother.
