The band you are most ashamed of liking?

There may be other threads of similar nature-apologies. One band only that you know are disliked/loathed/idotic/unfashionable/damn shít that you still like AND enjoy.

SAXON. Yeah! Big memories attached to these, but evrything about them screams at me-NO!NO!NO!. I still really like them. There is no give in them. true metal never dies! Yes I am a little drunk now.

Dr_Rez 10-23-2007 07:26 PM

Will Smith

mr. goth glam 10-23-2007 10:44 PM

Icp.

The Dave 10-23-2007 11:51 PM

Every Time I Die and AFI (granted, their older stuff).

N*S*G 10-24-2007 01:51 AM

MCR and Marylin Manson. I like the concept, but they could be a bit less... 'mainstream' (ie. the need deeper lyrics and better musicianship).

Zer0 10-24-2007 03:42 AM

Has to be Green Day. I know they get a lot of **** but screw it i grew up listening to them and i still enjoy their music

Mouseketeer 10-24-2007 09:12 AM

Paris Hilton, it's good crap, and to a lesser extent Blink 182.

Yea, thats pretty ammbarassing.

Urban Hat€monger ? 10-24-2007 10:50 AM

I suppose the biggest one for me would be Kiss. I don't care what anyone says those first 3 albums are the pinnacle of trashy rock n roll. It amazes me how people can like the New York Dolls & yet not have any time for those albums.

Same thing goes for Hanoi Rocks who sadly get lumped in with all the other 80s hair metal bands , even though they are nothing of the sort.

And i'll profess a liking for Uli Roth era Scorpions too.

joyboyo53 10-24-2007 12:14 PM

hmmm probably Rooney

If you don't like crap, you can't appreciate the good stuff so much.

holdyoualways 10-24-2007 01:44 PM

a plethora of pop/punk bands with numbers in their names that sing about getting dumped & their parents not understanding them

Night_Lamp 10-25-2007 08:23 AM

Tesla- I'm constantly defending them as good 70's style rock and roll, but no one will listen. They get lumped in with Posion.

=ladyface= 10-25-2007 01:21 PM

I'm far too old to be ashamed of my own taste in music but I do get told by others that I should be ashamed of having Girls Aloud so high up in my last.fm charts.

There are some belting tracks on MECHANICAL RESONANCE. Changes and Before My Eyes are great tracks.

Kevorkian Logic 10-25-2007 08:13 PM

Phantom of the Opera. I think Masquerade is a beautiful song.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 10-25-2007 10:32 PM

I'll admit to having a Cock and Ball Torture song stuck in my head and not minding at all.

Hype8 10-27-2007 08:51 AM

Westlife. I need an influx of nice, melodious ballads every once in a while to lighten myself up.

Necromancer 10-27-2007 08:16 PM

The Jackson Five.

Inuzuka Skysword 10-27-2007 08:34 PM

Dream Theater. I am tired of people whining about how "unsoulful" they are. I mean nobody knows what somebodies soul sounds like for gosh sakes.

cardboard adolescent 10-27-2007 08:53 PM

^^ I always assumed it sounds like a black person wailing.

Inuzuka Skysword 10-27-2007 08:57 PM

Well in Jimi's case it is.

djchameleon 10-28-2007 12:16 AM

Britney Spears' new album....heard the leak.....Backstreet Boys.....and believe it or not Paris Hilton's album.....she attempted to show range by having different types of songs that fit into different genres.....oh and that Kevin Federline cd I bought...*hangs head in shame* The beats that he purchased were very nice I have to admit though

ashleywilliams01 10-29-2007 08:07 AM

Girls alould!!!!!!! Bad I know

RelientK?Yes 10-29-2007 11:23 AM

Hah panic! At the disco probly and blinky.

PunkyElle 10-30-2007 10:37 AM

Maroon 5, Fall out Boy, and My Chemical Romance...

mr. goth glam 10-31-2007 11:49 AM

Right now, it's Lilly Allen.

CountryGirl 11-06-2007 01:32 PM

OMG I have you all beat with the most embarrasing of them all. I was a huge NKOTB nut and sadly one of their songs came on the radio the other day during an 80s flash back weekend and I was jamming along...I know I know I know...I should hang my head in shame.

My other dirty little secret is that I love Nelson! Hahahahaha..Yes as in the two blond skinny twins.

I know I am a sick sick girl.

Joshee 11-06-2007 03:40 PM

I used to like Linkin Park.
Ha ha...
Back in the days.

mr. goth glam 11-06-2007 09:27 PM

Actually, I've come to dislike Linkin Park a little less these days.

If only for the fact that they're still standing, which is more than I can say for a lot of the stuff that got big in rock/metal around that same time.

Yeah, because they keep conforming to whatever's popular at the time.
