There may be other threads of similar nature-apologies. One band only that you know are disliked/loathed/idotic/unfashionable/damn shít that you still like AND enjoy.

SAXON. Yeah! Big memories attached to these, but evrything about them screams at me-NO!NO!NO!. I still really like them. There is no give in them. true metal never dies! Yes I am a little drunk now.

MCR and Marylin Manson. I like the concept, but they could be a bit less... 'mainstream' (ie. the need deeper lyrics and better musicianship).

Has to be Green Day. I know they get a lot of **** but screw it i grew up listening to them and i still enjoy their music

I suppose the biggest one for me would be Kiss. I don't care what anyone says those first 3 albums are the pinnacle of trashy rock n roll. It amazes me how people can like the New York Dolls & yet not have any time for those albums.

Same thing goes for Hanoi Rocks who sadly get lumped in with all the other 80s hair metal bands , even though they are nothing of the sort.

And i'll profess a liking for Uli Roth era Scorpions too.

Tesla- I'm constantly defending them as good 70's style rock and roll, but no one will listen. They get lumped in with Posion.

I'm far too old to be ashamed of my own taste in music but I do get told by others that I should be ashamed of having Girls Aloud so high up in my last.fm charts.

There are some belting tracks on MECHANICAL RESONANCE. Changes and Before My Eyes are great tracks.

Phantom of the Opera. I think Masquerade is a beautiful song.

I'll admit to having a Cock and Ball Torture song stuck in my head and not minding at all.

Westlife. I need an influx of nice, melodious ballads every once in a while to lighten myself up.

Dream Theater. I am tired of people whining about how "unsoulful" they are. I mean nobody knows what somebodies soul sounds like for gosh sakes.

Britney Spears' new album....heard the leak.....Backstreet Boys.....and believe it or not Paris Hilton's album.....she attempted to show range by having different types of songs that fit into different genres.....oh and that Kevin Federline cd I bought...*hangs head in shame* The beats that he purchased were very nice I have to admit though
