Pretty much always digging these albums but they've been on heavy rotation lately. TMR is hands down my favourite record.
Man I have tried. But I just find trout mask unlistenable.

It's definitely hard to get into, it took me 4 full spins when I started to like it a little, and ever since the appreciation has just been growing. It's like a dense portrait that you can look at for years and still pick out details that floor you that you somehow looked over before.

Enough people like it to make me think its my issue. Who knows, may be one of those I love down the line.

Oh good lord. it's not Pride and Prejudice or Don Quixote for god sakes. it's a great album, but it's just a bunch of very talented musicians messing around for an hour and a half. it was revolutionary, I concede, but never have I thought that it's some deep work of art that needs to be analyzed and re-analyzed. Sometimes the things people say about TMR are highly exaggerated.

It very well could be, it's the definition of a grower album.

It's not just you, believe me. It was a serious ordeal for me and I did not enjoy one minute of it. Well, maybe one or two, but never enough to make me want to subject myself to that again. Sorry Frown; ain't gonna happen.
