I am digging Death Cab For Cutie's Photo Album. Information Travels Faster is awesome. I believe it's one of their best and underrated albums.

Maybe I would grow to enjoy it more but I'm certain I will never like it that much.

I've listened to it multiple times with headphones and I think that's really the best way to listen to this album. Just put on some headphones, relax, and just try to focus on the musical arrangements. There's a lot of promise on display, although I will concede I do also miss the gimmick because it had a lot of energy to it. This was my jazz, not something trying to emulate my parents or grandparents jazz. That kind of stung at first, but then I just kind of let it go and appreciate the music for what it was, and eagerly anticipate their next release to see which way they'll go.

Surf instrumental band? Is that the same as surf rock? Sounds great!

Super Fly (Original Soundtrack) - Curtis Mayfield (1972)

Possibly my all-time favorite soundtrack album and one that stands on its own, apart from the film, as a concept album. A masterpiece of soul/funk from the late, great Curtis Mayfield, sounding just as relevant today as it did in 1972. A timeless classic!

Having just seen the 2014 broadway production starring Neil Patrick Harris, I can't put this down. Angry Inch is the most badass track I've heard in a long time. Yisssssssssssss.

I bought that album on a whim 15 years ago and loved it. Then a few years later I saw the play and loved that. Then several years later I saw the movie and loved that. I wish there were other musicals out there that were so good. I mean a musical… that actually has great music, what a novel concept!
