You know Aes and Rob Sonic, to a lesser extent, are going to come with the lyrics, so the beats are basically the make or break on this album. And they are fucking great. One of the best Hip Hop albums of the year. And based on my first listen, it's better than RTJ 2.
Added to list.

Yes! If you can find The Times of Grace recording that's mixed with the corresponding Tribes of Neurot album, Grace, it's well worth a listen. Better that the original album imo.

Never heard of that. Sounds like an interesting concept. I'll definitely be checking it out.

Edan - Beauty and the Beat

Psychedelic hip hop? I dig this.

Can confirm that this album is fantastic and has some tracks that are better than anything on RTJ 2. In terms of an album, I think they're on the same level but RTJ 2 overall is a stronger album but Bestiary has better stand out tracks and is really upper tier as well.

Almost an apples and oranges type thing. RTJ 2 is fun and serious at the same time while Bestiary is middle ground and tries to be funny with the sketches (which I could've done without, last one was funny though).

Yeah, I listened to it this morning and found the sketches kind of annoying, but I liked the album overall. Seems little a bit of minor effort, but maybe it will grow on me.

I also listened to RTJ 2 for the first time and mostly liked it, but as always, I wish Mike would more consistently live up to the potential I think he has.
