Carissa's Wierd - Songs About Leaving

I put off listening to this band for way too long. Starting on them with this album and I'm instantly digging a lot of these tracks. A good album for me to wallow in my misery to. Nice album art as well.

My favourite 00's album. It actually took me a while to get into but when it did click with me I couldn't stop playing it. It's depressing as fuck but it's the perfect album for this time of the year.

Tinashe - Aquarius (2014)

Contemporary/Alternative R&B in a similar vein to what FKA twigs is doing right now. Love the first two tracks so far, so let's hope it continues.

I'm glad you liked it. You ought to check out the other albums from the Inside the Dream Syndicate/New York In the 1960s series, the drones are a little heavier but they're worth checking out. If you need a link let me know.

Dark Sanctuary - Les Mémoires Blessées

I'm not quite sure how I came across this band again. Not my typical genre of choice, but I might just have to consider checking out more of this type of stuff after hearing this album and this band in general. When the closing track played it really finalized my love for this as the rain set in against the eerie piano. Rain is just about my favorite thing on earth (after music, of course.)

Beautiful voice. Nice music. I like.

I'm kicking myself for not listening to this sooner, despite being aware of him for a long time. It's certainly a very sad and dark album. But it's also incredibly intimate and beautiful to listen to.
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is one of my absolute favorite artists ever. The dude is a genius. He has roughly a billion albums under about as many monikers. and almost all of them are great. I See a Darkness has always been my favorite, but considering the sheer size of his discography, that opinion could change next time I listen to his catalog. Keep digging, man.

I've been aware of it for a while and a lot of members rate it very highly, but my interest in experimental hiphop is very...recent lol. I wouldn't have been able to get through a single track a few months ago, so my taste has changed very quickly

I understand, so very much. Have you listened to anything else by Madlib or DOOM yet?
