Cayetana - New Kind Of Normal

I think someone on Musicbanter requested these chicks' first record earlier this year and I'm pretty much head over heels for that album, but this one was a little more difficult because it's not as snappy or punchy as the first album. But I'm easing into it today. If you like your riot grrl short and sweet, this is it.

Michel Polnareff
Polnareff's

Ridiculous psych pop release by one the most competent French chansonniers. I've really been into French Pop/Chanson lately. This is a major highlight.

Metá Metá - Gira (Trilha Sonora Original do Espetáculo do Grupo Corpo) (2017)

Another great release from this Brazilian Avant-Garde Jazz outfit. Has more of a Brazilian influence than their other work, and much less frantic.

Cursive
Happy Hollow

I've never liked Cursive when I heard the few tracks I have from them. Never gave their albums a full listen save for The Ugly Organ maybe six years ago. Well, I'm going back to all of them because I really enjoyed this one.

I've never heard Happy Hollow / Mama, I guess I should check those out.

I really like Domestica and I Am Gemini (though it's sometimes a bit cringey).

I only really like one song off of Ugly Organ:

I'm digging Happy People. The only song from You and Me Both where Alison doesn't sing. Sounds like it could've been a Depeche Mode song. Reminds me of the period in history when everyone was mobilizing for WWI.

Only one track in but I think this is a sure thing.

Armand Hammer - ROME

EDIT: I was right. Great ****, woods is as good as ever and Elucid is getting a lot stronger.
