Great album, you should check out Fables of Reconstruction if you like it.

^ It's been so long since I last listened to this I forgot I even had it 'til today. I think it's the only South African music I have as well. As an album it's not all so great, but makes a nice change from the stuff I usually have on though.

^ Hated it on the first listen, can't get enough of it now.

^ And some gorgeous Americana here.

10 Ft. Ganja Plant - Bushrock
I think this was released a week ago although it wasn't slated for release until the 28th. A lot mellower and rootsier than their previous album. It's growing on me.

Oh yeah!
I miss them. Could definitely see them live again. I like Mezmerize better though. Hypnotize seems a bit more mellow.

Pretty decent breakbeat album, even if it's a bit more commercial than I usually like the stuff.

An album I haven't touched for years. It's got one or two great songs, but all in all it's the first of a few sub-par albums in Bowie's discography.

And here's another one I haven't given a go for a while. Probably a little bit on the unfocused side (each song sounds very unique from the other), but it's still one of my favourites from the guy.

The Slackers - Better Late Than Never

Classic "2.5 wave" ska. This rough & tough album is owning my ear drums at the moment

The Black Seeds - Solid Ground

Apparently New Zealand is the new Jamaica. Great Dub-esque music from Kiwiville.

Chet Atkins & Les Paul - Chester & Lester

Two legendary masters playing together. Its Country guitar pickin' meets cool jazz lickin'. The aural equivalent to floating down the river in an inner tube on an overcast summer day. Beautiful.

I am hoping that my recent journal entry pushed you in this direction
