Show Your Bones by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It gets better every time you listen to it.

^ Manu Chao. It's called "Bongo Bong" from the album "Clandestino" but it's a remake of his earlier band Mano Negra's "King of Bonbo" that is even based on an old Roy Eldridge song:

I downloaded and listened to that yesterday. It reminds me of early Disney music.

Yeah, same here. Not everyone's cuppa tea, but I love listening to it first thing in the morning; that point of the day where your somewhere between sleeping and being awake enough to brew your first cuppa coffee.

^ Gave this a spin for the first time in ages today. Not as good as I remember it being, but still has a few great songs on it. In terms of that whole 'westerner tries to do world music' thing, it's very much outdone by David Byrne's Rei Momo.

The Grand Archives

You know how when you listen to a new band, and they're just so fucking awesome that you can't help but smile when you listen to them. For me, this is one those bands.

Thanks.

I listen to Frank Sinatra as well... sometimes I feel lame but it can be really beautiful at times

Tonight I am on a second disc of a two disc set kick... the outtakes and B Sides disc from REM's In Time deluxe edition... and Disc Two from The Church's Parallel Universe album... two very brilliant, not often visited discs.... which I have been enjoying muchly!
