A wonderfully skanky version Of early Sabbath filtered through a grunge asthetic but don't let that put you off. This is unpolished, raw good old distorted noisy Rock n Roll with a suitably raw production.

A less abrasive version of Gogol Bordello but with better hooks and more fun.

Easiest description? Groovy punk riffs punctuated with strange time sigs and an infectious edge that evokes Jon Spencer Blues Explosion at their very best (but better?..).

Just turn the volume up and tap your feet. Easy peasy Housey groovy schizz that is not too taxing on the old grey matter.

This is an excellent album - I first checked it out when it was suggested for a MB top 100.

I only started listening to Metric a few days, I must say that this album completely blew me away. I recomend this to anyone who appreciates good music.

I implore anyone who's even remotely interested in the underground to hear this album, if not just for the fact that it channels Wu in all the right places. I daresay it's a profound gem in indie rap that no collection would be complete without.

I wholly agree with you my good man

and not much else at the moment

Clandestino bores the arse off me after four or five tracks. I much prefer his earlier band 'Mano Negra'. Much more eclectic. Check them out if you have'nt before.

It is fair to say I'm in a Jesus & Mary Chain mood. Even fairer to say that I'm currently obsessed by them. I'm also listening to their other two albums (Stoned & Dethroned and Munki) and their collections of b-sides and rarities. Currently, I'm of the belief that pop and rock never reached a higher pinnacle. That may not last forever, but wow, I'm really into them at the moment. I've always liked them, but suddenly it's kicked in much harder.

I thought Automatic was kind of a joke.
