actually have been for some time, it's slightly inferior to Spirit of Eden compositionally, but there's an air of despair and melancholy about it that I find quite appealing

I find it better than SoE personally, top 5 of the 90's for me.

I rank it third, 1st being "Spiderland" by Slint and second being "Cure for Pain" by Morphine.

I'm actually glad to be back. I'm trying to write more but for some reason I haven't listened to that much new music lately. Maybe people can throw some recommendations my way?

Radical Face - Ghost

Radical Face is the solo project of Ben Cooper. It has nice acoustic guitars, nice vocals, multi-layered tracks and other cool stuff. The album was recorded in the shed in his backyard.

Uh, sure. Maybe give Munly & the Lupercalians - Petr & the Wulf a shot? Gothic country album I've been dumping on everyone round here, has been getting good reception.
