I have to download this! The Station in Gateshead?! That place is a hole, i'm not sure what it was like back then. I know The Clash have played there too because theres a boot of that kicking around somewhere but i dont know how regular their bookings were. I don't think it was a very common venue. I may have to look into the history of that place more.

I usually don't post audience recordings but this one isn't too bad quality considering it's age. This was one of the last shows the band played at the Ruskin Arms pub, just over a month later they would sign for EMI. This show features Tony Parsons on guitar & Doug Samson on drums, both of whom would be fired by the time the bands debut album would be released 6 months later. Even at such an early stage of their career they've already become a really tight unit and you can really tell that 4 solid years of doing the pub circuit really paid off in regards to playing live.

Public Image Ltd, 20.04.1980, New York

01. Fodderstompf

04. Attack
05. Low Life
06. Death Disco
07. Swan Lake
08. Memories
09. Public Image

The classic line-up, so you know what to expect. Standard bootleg quality but a treat nonetheless. Some audience participation during 'Death Disco' is a good laugh.
