Cant beat MC5 for dirty rock 'n' roll
For more modern stuff try Priestess and Cat the Dog

That Priestess stuff was awful & about a million miles away from what it is i'm after. Cat the Dog , a little better but a lot of this stuff is 70s classic rock influenced. I'm after stuff that's inspired 50s rock n roll or blues played in an extremely raw way , and sadly nobody seems to have picked up on that.

Royal Trux was probably the closest to what i'm after but I already know them , I'm really after new bands doing this sort of things or bands that are really obscure and never got any attention

Th' Legendary Shack Shakers. I forgot about these, altough sometimes they sound a little like Gogol Bordello. I have PANDELIRIUM. PM.
