Not got much going for it then.

But in all seriousness, I've only listened to it once, and haven't listened to it again. It was alright from what I remember, never realised anyone regarded it as ground breaking or whatever? I just thought it was an average run of the mill album.

Well, maybe people don't see it as groundbreaking. It's just annoying how many new fans of "experimental" these guys have unleashed with this hipster-accessible album. It's become less of an ethic and just another stupid genre.

I feel the same way about My Bloody Valentine. I've never actually made it through the entire album, it just sounds wrong to me. I heard a song on the radio once that had a nice melody so I thought I'd give it a shot, but the rest was just hurting my ears. I may try again one day but why listen to music I don't enjoy? I believe in giving albums multiple tries before passing judgment but sometimes if it's painful it's not worth it.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Can the last track really save an album that made him want to turn it off?

I feel the same way. I quite like Loveless and I know I haven't given it enough listens to fully appreciate it. However, that track has always stood out. Love the drums.

There's a positive to these threads...someone could talk you out of hate and into giving something another try.

Plus as long as everyone remains civil and accepts other people's opinions, it's just discussion which is what we're here for, right?

This.

I'm going to give Loveless another try because someone said what they really liked about it.
