sweet_nothing if I made you a Radiohead compilation would you download it? I think you'd like if you heard the right songs.

sweet_nothing 04-13-2008 01:05 PM

yeah but I couldn't listen to it because my itunes is all ***. So just tell me which album to get...

Yeah, thats same with me too, like when I first heard Elliott Smith, I really didn't like it too much at all, and it took me a while before I actually did fully appreciate it, and now he's like my favorite ever. Same with Patrick Wolf and The Magnetic Fields.
Radiohead on the other hand, I actually fell in love with first listen, although for most people I know, Radiohead were definitely more of a grow-on-you type band.

Yeah, Radiohead was pretty immediate with me as well. All it took was Paranoid Android and i was hooked.

sweet_nothing 04-13-2008 02:14 PM

With me it has to be love at first listen, I don't want to have to listen over & over again until I like.

You should go for Ok Computer, Sweet_Nothing. Spin named it Best Album of the 90's awhile back.

Piss Me Off 04-13-2008 02:19 PM

Sweet Nothing you may want to try The Bends as well, if you like Oasis you may like it as it has the same mid-90's feel to it. (thats the best way i could describe it).

^There's alot to be said for the immediacy of certain artists, and if something gets me like that it tends to be within my musical/intellectual comfort zone - however there's so much music I just couldn't stomach when I was 16, 18, whatever, that is just so obviously brilliant to me now.
