Would you mind making one for me, i have never been able to get into them, but will be seeing them at Lollipulooza. Maybe i just need to hear the right songs.

Or maybe it's because Radiohead is a good band

I'd have to agree with you.

I agree with you on this one. Forcing yourself to listen and like music seems kind of like an arranged marriage to me. Even if you end up loving the person after living with them for a while, it lacks the magic you feel with falling in love with them from the start. If that makes any sense...

Practice makes perfect?

maybe that doesn't apply here :(

I disagree with that.
If I like something straight away chances are a few months down the line I get bored of it.
I much prefer it when I listen to something and have to work on it to appreciate it more. Makes me feel like i'm getting my moneys worth.
I first heard The Fall in 1995 and I hated them , now I love them dearly & would listen to anything of them I could can get my hands on , even really crappy sounding bootlegs.

There's a lot to be said for music that grows on you. Every song I immediately liked became annoying about three weeks later.

I see what you mean. I guess it's different for everyone. I personally have never been able to force myself to like a certain artist, but I have noticed the trend of absolutely loving something when it first hits the scene and then hating it weeks later. That's why I don't go out and buy CD's until I've been listening for quite a while.
