Uh, most of what I listen to is in the Electronica genre. Even though that has a fair amount of good artists in the US, I think UK would have the slight edge here. On the other hand, there's alot of bands/artists from other genres that I enjoy from the states (though I'm not gonna go and make another list). As for non-electronica bands in the UK such as Oasis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, etc. I personally don't care much for many of them. I don't hate them or anything, I can listen to them just fine...they're just 'meh' in my mind. So in the end, my vote will go to the U.S. |

Australia makes some pretty good music. Might not be the best but I voted for them anyway :)

Can't forget Nick Cave.
I need to discover some more good Australian bands. Partially because being born there and spending most of my life there means that a couple of my flatmates consider me amenable for anything negative about Australia... and on the topic of good Australian music, I don't know enough about it to adequately defend them in that arena. Suggestions? |

Just because you haven't heard of Australian music, pretty much because it's impossible for Australian artists to make it big in the US and UK due to the state of the industry, doesn't mean there hasn't been any good music produced. |

Crowed House, Neil Finn comes from New Zealand, either country they're one of my favorites. The Easybeats The Bee Gees (aslo claimed by Manchester) Three Dog Night The Hoodoo Gurus (great band) Savage Garden (Midnight Oil is hideously awful) |
