Psycroptic, Spawn Of Possession, Lykathea Aflame, Sleep Terror, and Necrophagist are all good places to start.

Default Recommend me

I'll admit that I don't have any musical talent and I really am not exposed to much of the non-mainstream. If I have any more obscure bands that I listen too, I likely heard them from a friend. I'll list some of my favorites and maybe you can recommend some bands to looks at.

Stone Temple Pilots - Probably 90% of their stuff is on my playlist. Love them
The Offspring - Maybe 10 or so song
Pearl Jam - All the classics, but not much of their lesser know stuff
Weezer - Probably 10 or so again
Audioslave - 5-10 songs plus a few by Sound Garden
Lez Zepplin - ~5
Nirvana - ~5
Queen - ~5
Rage Against the Machine - ~5
Rolling Stones - ~10

The rest I'll list, but I listened to anywhere from 1-3 of their songs is all.

Alice in Chains
Arctic Monkeys - You Probably Couldn't See for the Light but You Were Staring Right at Me. (I love this song but its their only song I've heard I like. I'd recommend it if you like maybe punk rock. I'm not perfect on genres. I heard about them ebcause I think they had a concert with Zepplin)

Beck
Bouncing Souls
Cracker
Death From Above 1979
Disturbed (I like that Inside the Fire song... so shoot me)
Dropkick Murphys
Eve 6
Fastball
Flogging Molly
George Thorogood
Goo Goo Dolls
Incubus
Korn
Limp Bizkit
Lit
Live
Marcy Playground
Mustard Plug
Pink Floyd
Porcupine Tree
Radiohead
Smashing Pumpkins
Temple of the Dog (I guess it sort of counts as Pearl Jam)
Third Eye Blind
The Verve
Violent Femmes
The White Stripes

Thanks for any recommendations guys, whether I end up liking them or not.

I love "Annihilation of the Wicked". Cannibal Corpse is pretty wicked too, "The Bleeding" and "Vile" are both in your face recordings. Also check out Behemoth's "The Apostacy", Immolation's "Close to a World Below". As Antonio said, Suffocation is great, probably the grand-daddy of all tech DM bands and one Niles biggest influences, (also throw in Morbid Angel).

I suppose you could do alot worse than start with 80's Metallica.

Personally i would also recommend Slough Feg,especially the Hardworlder album which is very accessible. You might also like Tiamat.

Welcome. Your list is so polar. For the most part, I like. There are a few I could definitely do without ever hearing again in my life.

Default Need some suggestions - running out of music!

I am mainly into the Indie Rock/Alternative/Metal, Post punk/hardcore revival, Electronic/Psychedelic genres. The Killers, Say Anything, Billy Talent, The Strokes, MGMT, Papa Roach, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Linkin Park, etc

Getting bored of listening to the same songs over and over again and have for the past few weeks been searching for groups from the same genre but to not much success.

No offence to fans, but some are too slow and soft (RA RA RIOT, Cold War Kids) and some are boring (Pixies). Billy Talent and Breaking Benjamin have been the only revelations.

Any suggestions from my fellow music lovers?

A little browsing around the threads of the genres you're interested would be a good start. I have a vague picture of what you listen to at the moment. Care to elaborate on 'etc'?
