Default best "butterfly inducing" love song..

I need an idea for an amazing song that says 'I love you' to serenade my significant other with on acoustic giutar. Oh, and just so you know, I listen to mostly indie rock, and rock in general. I need something that is not over-the-top- cheesey, just classic with good lyrics and would sound good on acoustic guitar. I am girl if that helps the decision any...Thanks for any suggestions!

The Smiths: personally, Meat is Murder or The Queen is Dead

Portishead: Dummy

Tool: EVERYONE says that the best starting album for someone who is not that into Tool is Aenima. I'd personally say Lateralus.

The Mars Volta: De-Loused In The Comatorium

"Frances The Mute" is better to start with in my opinion.

Don't start with Meat Is Murder, it's a great album, but the least accessable. Get something easier like Hatful of Hollow or The Queen Is Dead.

I haven't got any ideas myself, but you'll probably find a few here...

I would say one of the compilations for the Smiths. I agree definitely not Meat is Murder if you're looking for somewhere to start.

Hatful of Hollow, Louder than Bombs or the Best albums.

I agree with Lateralus for Tool too. That was my first Tool record.

Default Techno fans; House fans: Tell me what's been big in 2009.

I'm generally a fan of both techno and house, but I don't follow them very closely and I have little idea of what's happening and been happning in this year. So, anyone care to tell me? I would prefer a list of the big singles of the year (or links to lists), and I don't really mind whichever subgenres they fall into (so long as it isn't minimal techno or microhouse).

Thanks.

Hatful Of Hollow - Smiths
De-loused in the comatorium - TMV
Lateralus - Tool.

Myabe a slight suprise with the last one but hey, that is how I got into them and I love them now. So it worked.
